Statement from Michele Sims on the Cancellation of the Emergency Mulberry City Council Meeting

Today’s decision to cancel the scheduled emergency meeting is a victory for the residents of District 5 and for all who believe in transparency, accountability, and the rule of law. This outcome shows that our voices matter and that adherence to proper procedure is fundamental to a fair and democratic process. I am proud to see the commitment to uphold the charter and ensure that our government’s actions reflect the spirit of honesty and respect that Mulberry deserves.

Let me be clear: Despite the online commentary from some, I am not working against our city but rather striving to fulfill the promise of Mulberry with integrity and transparency. My commitment remains to serve this community faithfully and responsibly, ensuring that every action I support is one that represents the values we all share. I am encouraged by today’s decision, and I look forward to continuing to fight on behalf of all of my District 5 neighbors, united in our vision for Mulberry’s future.

Thank you to everyone who raised their voices for fair representation. Today is proof that when we stand together for what is right, we truly make a difference.
